Competition terms and conditions
This is a plain-English draft and is being finalised with our solicitor ahead of launch. It explains how we intend to operate; the final wording will be published here before you can be charged.
These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on our website at winabundle.co.uk (the “Website”). They should be read together with our website terms of use, acceptable use policy and privacy policy.
1. The Promoter
The promoter is Win A Bundle Ltd, company number 15636787, whose registered office is at Office 417, 37 St. Andrews Street, Norwich, England, NR2 4TP. If you wish to contact us for any reason, please email info@winabundle.co.uk.
2. The competition
The Promoter may offer different formats of competition. Subject to the free entry route below, an entry fee is payable each time you enter.
To be in with a chance of winning, everyone who enters a competition (an “Entrant”) may be required to correctly answer a question or solve a problem set by the Promoter (the “Competition Question”). Where the Promoter offers an easy or multiple-choice question, or where the Promoter does not ask a Competition Question, a free entry route is available (see section 3).
The competitions on the Website are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Apple or Google. By entering, Entrants agree that none of Meta, Apple or Google has any liability and that they are not responsible for the administration or promotion of the competitions.
3. How to enter
Each competition runs from and including the opening and closing dates specified on the Website (the “Opening Date” and “Closing Date”). All times and dates are those in London, England.
If it is absolutely necessary, the Promoter reserves the right to change the Opening and Closing Dates; if so, the new details will be displayed on the Website. The Promoter will not extend the Closing Date simply to sell more entries.
All entries must be received by no later than the specified time on the Closing Date. Entries received after that time are automatically disqualified and no refunds will be given.
The maximum number of entries to a competition, and any limit on the number of entries per Entrant, will be stated on the Website. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish until the maximum number of entries has been received or the per-Entrant limit has been reached.
To enter a competition online:
- go to the Website and view the Competition Question, if there is one;
- answer the Competition Question, if there is one;
- add your tickets to your basket;
- check out by filling in your details; then
- complete checkout by purchasing the required number of entries.
All entries must be submitted in English. By purchasing entries and submitting an entry you are entering into a contract with the Promoter and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Unless you use the free entry route, the Promoter will confirm that your entry has been received.
The Promoter will not accept responsibility for entries that are not successfully completed, are lost or are delayed, regardless of cause (including equipment failure or any technical malfunction).
Free entry route
You may enter for free by complying with the following conditions:
- send your entry by first or second class post to: Win A Bundle, Office 417, 37 St. Andrews Street, Norwich, England, NR2 4TP;
- hand-delivered entries will not be accepted or entered into the draw;
- include your full name, your address, a contact telephone number and email address, and your answer to the Competition Question (if there is one);
- incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified;
- you may make multiple free entries (up to any limit), but each must be submitted and posted separately - a bulk entry in one envelope counts as a single entry;
- your entry must be received before the Closing Date; proof of posting does not guarantee entry into the draw;
- the Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm whether your answer is correct;
- if the number of entries reaches any cap before your free entry is received, you will not be entered into the draw.
A free postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry. Full details are on our enter by post page.
4. Choosing a winner
All Entrants who correctly answer the Competition Question (or all Entrants, if there is no question) will be placed into a draw, and the winner chosen at random. The draw will take place as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 30 days of the Closing Date (the “Draw Date”).
Entrants’ names and entry numbers may be included on a spreadsheet which may be published on the Website and may be visible during a live draw. If you do not wish your name to be included, you must contact the Promoter at contact@winabundle.co.uk as soon as reasonably possible and in any event at least 48 hours before the live draw. For help with entries, please email contact@winabundle.co.uk.
5. Eligibility
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except: (a) employees of the Promoter; (b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b).
By entering you confirm that you are eligible to enter and to claim any prize. The Promoter may require proof of eligibility; if you fail to provide it within a reasonable time you may be disqualified.
The Promoter will not accept entries that are automatically generated by computer or that are incomplete, and reserves the right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition (including being rude or abusive).
No refunds of the entry fee will be given in any event, including where you later find you are not eligible, where the eligibility criteria change, or where you are disqualified for any reason. If an Entrant engages in any form of fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or concealment, hacking or interference with the Website, or unauthorised use of its code, all of their entries will be void, no refunds will be given, and they may be barred from future competitions.
6. The prize
The prize for each competition is described on the Website (the “Prize”). Details are correct, to the best of the Promoter’s knowledge, as at the Opening Date. Prizes are subject to availability, and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value.
The Promoter makes no representations and gives no warranties about the Prize, its value or condition, or that information on the Website is accurate, complete or up to date. A Prize may be supplied by a third-party supplier, details of which (if any) will be on the Website.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative cash prize where the Prize becomes unavailable or where other circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it necessary. The Prize is not negotiable or transferable.
7. Winners
The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Draw Date using the telephone number or email address provided with the entry. If the winner cannot be contacted, is not available, or has not claimed the Prize within 14 days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrant.
The Promoter must publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place, and to comply will publish the name or username of major prize winners on the Website. If you object to your surname, county and winning entry being published, please contact the Promoter at contact@winabundle.co.uk prior to the Closing Date; in those circumstances the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
8. Claiming the prize
You must claim the Prize personally; it may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. Details of how the Prize will be delivered (or made available for collection) are published on the Website.
If your contact details change you should notify the Promoter as soon as reasonably possible at contact@winabundle.co.uk, including the competition entered and your old and new details. If your details change within 10 days of the Closing Date, the Promoter will use your old details if it needs to contact you.
Any cash prize will be transferred directly to the winner’s nominated bank account. The winner must provide evidence that they are the sole or joint beneficiary of that account; failure to do so within 14 days will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize, and the Promoter may offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrant.
9. Limitation of liability
Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and distributors will not be responsible or liable to compensate the winner, or accept any liability, for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors, or their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. Data protection and publicity
By entering, you agree that any personal information provided may be held and used by the Promoter, its agents and suppliers to administer the competition, or as otherwise set out in our privacy policy.
If you win, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner, and to participate in reasonable publicity. If you do not wish to participate in publicity you must notify the Promoter before the Closing Date; this will not affect your chances of winning. Even if you decline publicity, the Promoter may still provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority as proof that the competition was properly administered.
If you are the winner, you may be required to provide further personal information and proof of identity to confirm eligibility and to transfer the Prize. You may withdraw consent to your information being used in this way, but by doing so you may prevent the Prize being transferred and will be deemed to have withdrawn from the competition, forfeiting the Prize with no refund.
11. General
The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time; the latest version will always be available on the Website. If there is any reason to believe there has been a breach of these terms, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from the competition and any future competitions.
The Promoter reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition where it becomes necessary to do so. There is no minimum number of entries, and the Promoter will not void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition due to a lack of entries.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. You should keep a copy of these terms for your records.
